The Closed Loop Color Plus control system (CLC Plus) scans a color bar from the moving web to adjust BOTH color register and inking to target density values. Fast color register together with color control and Color Management data collection help you make more productive decisions. The result is reduced waste, improved quality and greater productivity.With CLC Plus, you can expect to experience realistic waste reductions in the area of 30% on make ready, 8% on running waste, and 40% on repeat job make ready. An 18 month field study reports a savings of 1.5% of overall waste.
Smart Imaging
CLC Plus can find and lock onto the color bar without any operator intervention. The unique register targets and solid density patches with special codes identify the key being measured. Print defects such as hickeys or scratches in the color bar are discarded from the calculations.

High Speed Imaging
CLC Plus's innovative design uses a single sensor within the imaging head for locating and measuring the target. This imaging technology allows CLC Plus to measure all colors for all keys on all web surfaces in as many impressions as there are ink keys on one fountain. This means on a 24 ink key press the imaging system can measure all color and all surfaces in 24 impressions.
The imaging system conforms to Status-T standards and self-calibrates to a certified reflectance standard. An air purge system, long life Xenon strobe bulbs, and heavy duty sensor transport design provide years of trouble free service.

Print Quality Review
CLC Plus provides a higher sampling rate to provide you with data to make better Color management decisions. Operators can review print job data at anytime from their workstation. QC personnel and pressroom management can have a workstation at their own desk to review and analyze job data offline. Press parameters are instantly logged against time or impressions. The log includes major events such as blanket washes, press speed changes, splices, good count, time stamp, impression count, and impressions on/off. Data can be reviewed in absolute or relative mode to target densities. A variety of reports can be printed out for customer quality assurance, error tracking, or maintenance trending.
